Meet the teams competiting at the 2025 Dola Re Dandiya competition!!
About
Established in 2017, Dola Re Dandiya is an intercollegiate dance competition that aims to actively entertain the general public and raise cultural awareness of the traditional Indian dances, Raas and Garba. With multiple teams traveling from across the nation with their best dancers, this competition has proven to be a pioneer in bringing these traditional dances to the Chapel Hill area. The vision of Dola Re Dandiya is to collaborate with other universities in order to increase the awareness of these dance forms throughout the nation and to create a unified presence of Indian folk dances.This year’s event will be held on February 10th, 2024. All proceeds from DRD go towards the Mahatma Gandhi Fellowship, a non-profit 501(c)(3) that funds students to implement self-designed service projects for South Asian communities around the globe.
